The Stories Within the Pictures
“If a picture is worth a 1000 words, then let us try and release them!”
Using Janet Howse’s remarkable exhibition of portraits as inspiration, this workshop will explore how paintings and photographs can be a stimulus to writing stories and poetry.
During the workshop, we will play some writing games involving pictures that will stimulate our creative ideas and move towards an opportunity to write a creative response to one of Janet’s deeply personal paintings. You are also welcome to bring your own pictures as inspiration.
Be ready to explore what happens when we bring text and pictures together in new and exciting ways!
